Last June, we reported on alleged 2021 breaches of ballot tabulation machines in Georgia and Michigan counties by allies of former President Trump. New reports in the New York Times, CNN and the Detroit News suggest that probes into those breaches may be moving forward, and that President Trump may have been involved in discussions about getting access to the machines.
In Georgia, CNN reports that the investigation of President Trump’s alleged attempt to influence the outcome of the Georgia election revealed text messages about the ballot tabulating machines in Coffee County, GA. The messages between Doug Logan, CEO of CyberNinjas, and Jim Penrose, a data analyst working with Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, suggest that data from the machines might be used to justify overturning both the 2020 Presidential election, AND the Ossoff-Perdue U.S. Senate race. Democracy group Free Speech for People recently discovered January 6th Committee testimony suggesting that President Trump may have had an Oval Office discussion about access to the Georgia & Michigan machines’ data.
In Michigan, court documents show that Logan and Penrose are also subjects of a special prosecutor probe into the breach of voting machines in Antrim County and other counties. The Detroit News reported Monday that a special grand jury is considering charges in the case.
